As we mark the passing of Dick Clark, many will remember him as a TV icon and the host of America’s longest-running variety show, American Bandstand. Bringing amazing music, incredible artists, and unforgettable acts to new fans all across the nation, Dick truly was a big part of music history.
Dick was able to turn American Bandstand into one of the most important musical events in the country. “If you didn’t go on American Bandstand,” recalled singer Aretha Franklin “you hadn’t made it yet.”.
The man nicknamed “America’s Oldest Teen” hosted The Jacksons more than once on his show. The Jackson family remembers him fondly.
